April 6, 2001 Hewlett-Packard is extending its reach into the mobile arena through expansion of its HP Mobile e-Services Bazaar program.
HP's expansion plans for the Bazaar, a development community of more than 400 members, include the opening of a new facility in Toronto this week and the addition of 38 new bazaar members.
The HP Bazaar provides an environment where members can develop new mobile ideas, strategies and technologies, said Ann Livermore, president, HP Services. "For people to have a meaningful experience using mobile technologies, all the elements need to function in a holistic way," said Livermore at the opening of the Toronto facility. "The HP Bazaar helps line up those elements and provides members with both a physical and a virtual environment to create and develop new mobile solutions."

Agis, Aldata Oyj, AVM Informatique, Celetratris, Corechange, Cypoint Systems Innovation AB, DoOnGo, EHPT, End2End, Forowap SA, Gadgetspace, Hotsip, Hotline Soccer, Ionicfic Ltd., Inexbee, iWAP, Object/FX, Obvious Solutions (Global) Ltd., PointForce, MobileQ, Nortel Networks, NoWire, Rixxo, RoamInfo, Securesoft, Softtracks, Stocksmart, Syslore, Swapcom, U.S. Wireless, Varetis Germany, Ventrada, Voice Genie, Voice Q, XcelleNet and Zinilin.
HP Bazaar solutions and e-services include a Linux-based platform from HP and Lutris Technology for the deployment of wireless applications, and an all-in-one network solution from HP and Nortel Networks for the delivery of personalized, rich-media information to devices.
