May 1, 2001 iConverse is speeding up the race to unwire the enterprise with an upgraded version of its iConverse Mobility Platform
Due to ship within 30 days, the release includes the new iConverse Interaction Server 2.0 and iConverse Mobile Studio 2.0. The Waltham, Mass., company is providing members of its developer program an early-release sneak preview.
The upgrade, announced yesterday, is aimed at easing and speeding the transition of "essential business functions like workforce mobilization applications and customer relationship management initiatives to the mobile channel," said iConverse CEO Ron Matros.
New features include:
- additional emulators for increased customized development;
- messaging and alerting capabilities for WAP, SMS, SMTP, SNPP, SMPP and OpenWave;
- enhanced enterprise data connectivity with industry-standard connectors including WSDL and SOAP, enhanced Java, design-time visualization;
- one-click deployment and support for staging and production environments;
- and additional deployment execution environments including IBM's WebSphere, BEA's WebLogic, Macromedia's JRun and SilverStream Application Server.
