Monitoring System Keeps a Real-Time Eye on the Prize

10Meters News Service

December 16, 2002 – Looking for the perfect gift for mom or dad? Check out MommyTrack, a mobile video monitoring system that keeps real-time tabs on the kids.

MommyTrack from Cenuco
Developed by Cenuco Security of Boca Raton, Fla., the MommyTrack system uses video cameras to capture what's going on in any room in the house and then streams those images over a PDA. Parents can also access the MommyTrack monitoring system by mobile phone or over the Internet.

MommyTrack access requires a password, and multiple users are allowed to log in and view the video simultaneously. The system is compatible with existing cameras and security systems and does not require any additional cabling or hardware.

Cost is $2,295 and includes two wireless color video cameras, a base receiver station that plugs into your computer's USB port, a wireless PDA and monitor software. First-year service is free; after that, the monthly charge is $19.95. The service includes a 48-hour archiving service.
