August 29, 2001 Nokia is wapping it up in North America with a new entry-level mobile phone.
The Nokia 3395 WAP-enabled GSM handset will hit the U.S. market this fall and comes with what should be a grabber for the youth market: new arcade-style games including the debut in the Americas of Bumper, a pinball game.

Other games included with the 3395: Snake II, Pairs II, Bantumi and Space Impact. The games use the phone's internal vibrating feature to add what Nokia calls "vibra-shock tactile feedback to improve the game playing experience."
Also adding to the gaming pizzazz, the phone's enhanced Web features, which will allow users to download "new missions for Space Impact, new mazes for Snake II and new tables for Bumper."
Features of the Nokia 3395 phone include a WAP 1.1 wireless Internet browser; capacity for up to 50 ring tones, including 20 downloadable ring tone slots; built-in ring tone composer; animated screen savers; voice dialing, and predictive text input.
